Buceo Anilao Dive Resort

An old African proverb says: Anyone who visits others should open his eyes and not his mouth. But we really didn't like it. The incredible biodiversity in Phillipian waters makes it almost impossible not to lose the breathing regulator underwater;-)

This dive area is more than an El Dorado for those who love Macro and SuperMacro.

Arrival

As always with our travels, the journey is far from short, but with a flight less than to central Sulawesi and as now "old hands," time passed quite quickly.

From Frankfurt am Main to Singapore as usual in just under 13 hours and from there directly to Manila in just 4 hours, 3 hours drive in which one has the opportunity to marvel at the country and people for the first time. After that, 5 min. Crossing by boat to the resort and zack are already 22 hours away. Admittedly with the approach to the airport and the stay times at the airport, it was all 26 hours.

The equipment

The resort has a total of 17 bungalows, all with hot water showers. As follows, the resort is divided into 10 very spacious rooms (45sqm) with sea views, air conditioning, ceiling fan and refrigerator, 4 very nice superior rooms (25sqm) with identical amenities and 3 very simple rooms with no sea view or terrace balcony.

In general, the higher the bungalow, the more beautiful the view is. But this also includes the "arduous ascent".

The resort itself is located on a relatively steep hillside, beautifully integrated into nature.

The spa is located quite high up, offering wonderful views over the entire resort and the sea. With its beautiful ambience, the spa invites you to relax with great massages and simply let your mind wander.

Located in the middle is the wonderful infinity pool, which with its view gives you the feeling of being right in the sea.  Since the pool is two divided, there is the possibility to do the pool dives for the OWD. Sufficiently shady berths invite you to chill after or between dives.

If we are already on the theme of "after the dives," the bar located directly between the dive center and the restaurant, right by the sea, gives you the opportunity to have your dives revue in a cosy atmosphere.

Food/Service

Personally, I think everyone here will come to cost him. From good bourgeois European to traditional Filipino dishes, a la carte dishes are really something for everyone. Of course, there is also the possibility to order a buffet (from a certain number of participants) and here, too, it was very generously prepared. Great is to enjoy the whole thing with a dreamlike sunset, which can be admired from the restaurant perfectly. The opulent breakfast buffet, which will be available from 7am. Only here rather with the sunrise, who likes and manages it;-). If you get the little hunger at lunchtime, you have the opportunity to order up and down from the generous card.

Coffee/tea and water are available free of charge in the room and restaurant throughout the day.

If you want to have your room completely cleaned, you can easily deposit your key at the reception before you go diving and pick it up later.

The bar is open from 5 o 'clock in the evening and offers delicious cocktails and good conversations. Of course, every kind of drink can be ordered through the restaurant during the day. Personally, I recommend the gigantically delicious mango daiquiri. I find it worth mentioning that emphasis is placed on the environment and is served with reusable aluminium tubes.

Diving

The dive center itself is very well equipped. Nitrox is present and has been included in the package.

There is a spacious camera room with electricity (European). It should be mentioned here that it is not air-conditioned, only with fans. Pressing air to dry is available.

• 4 dives a day in small groups are possible. Since this year, even Blackwater and Bonfire Dives have been offered. Usually, 2 dives are done in the morning with a surface break on the boat. After lunch at around 3pm, the third follows. The night dive starts in the evening at about 17-6 pm. The guides are really very well trained and understand their craft down to the smallest detail. The beautiful as I think, you keep your personal guide for your stay so that personal requests can be made individually. The size of the diving groups is a maximum of 4 people. So photographers really have enough time to photograph their object of desire without creating the stress. Of course, it is also possible to dive into smaller or, if desired, larger groups. As I said here, great attention is paid to the wishes of the divers.
• The boats are designed for up to 8 divers and offer plenty of shade space. Between dives, biscuit/Fruits + Kaffee/Tee/water are served.
• Before and after diving, you have to take care of next to nothing. Equipment is directed and carried to the boat, only the last check before jumping into the warm water is up to you yourself. Even after diving, except washing out your suit, you don't have to worry about anything else.
